FAQs

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Group lessons (8 weeks): $95 per course, or $15 pay as you go.
Private lessons: $65 / lesson (one hour) pay as you go, or prepaid Package of $300 for 5 lessons ($60/lesson); $550 for 10 lessons ($55/lesson); $900 for 20 lessons ($45/lesson).

Please give minimum 24 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling of private lessons. There will be full charge for any missed lesson or last minute cancellation.

Q: What should I wear to class?

A: Wear secure shoes that stay snug on your feet. Choose a smooth sole to allow rotation. Latin dance shoes or sneakers are recommended, but not necessary. Wear comfortable clothes that allow movement.

Q: How long does it take to learn?

A: This varies a lot from person to person. It depends on past dance experience, as well as natural ability. Having a good sense of rhythm certainly helps, but most of all putting in the practice time and having fun are the keys to learning fast. It's possible after one lesson to do the basic step with a partner but it normally takes a month or two for students to get the confidence to try out their steps at a Latin nightclub. It often takes even longer to develop a natural style. This question also depends on how much you want to learn. Some people are happy to learn just enough to have a fun dance with someone at a club. Others want to compete or perform in shows. Some of us have been dancing for many years and we're still improving.

Q: Do I need to bring a partner?

A: Not necessary. We will rotate partners during the class.
